Studio B embraces a lifestyle of innovation, crafting modern designs that seamlessly integrate with their surroundings. Rooted in sensitivity to the environment and materials, our work reflects a quiet yet powerful connection to each site, blending minimalism with rich textures and meticulous details.

Guided by a commitment to sustainability, we design spaces that respond to light, views, and orientation, enhancing their relationship with the landscape. Through collaboration and exploration, Studio B creates architecture that inspires clients to see their spaces—and themselves—in transformative ways.

On Site + In the Studio

This summer at Studio B, we’re celebrating construction progress, new team members, and moments of community connection. Projects like Mountain Ridge in Boulder and Colorado Gulch in Leadville are well underway, each reflecting unique client visions and deep ties to their natural settings. In the field, Lazy-O Residence is now on the market for $16.75M, presented by Ted Borchelt of Sotheby’s, offering a striking example of our design ethos, while a nearby vacant lot presents the rare opportunity to build your own Studio B home in this private mountain enclave.

We also gathered for our spring studio retreat, uniting our Aspen and Boulder teams to reflect and align, and hosted a pop-up open house with O’baware and ceramic artist Kazu Oba. Rounding out the season, Panorama House was named a Regional Winner in LUXE Interiors + Design’s RED Awards for Exterior Architecture, further proof that timeless, place-based design endures.

An Evening with O’baware

In July, we welcomed friends, collaborators, and the Boulder creative community to our studio for an evening with ceramic artist Kazu Oba of O’baware. The event offered a unique opportunity to connect around craft, conversation, and community, featuring Kazu’s exquisite handmade pieces alongside light fare and drinks provided by our partners at Three Leaf’s Catering and Strongwater.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the intersection of art and design, and to Kazu for sharing his work and his story with such warmth and generosity. We look forward to future collaborations and meaningful gatherings like this, where our studio becomes a place not only for design, but for dialogue and inspiration.

Studio B Spring Retreat

Each year, we carve out dedicated time to come together as a studio to reflect on where we are, where we’re headed, and how we want to grow.

This spring’s retreat was a day to reconnect as a team, align on goals, and set intentions for the year ahead. With team members gathered from Aspen and Boulder, we used the time to step back and look at the bigger picture.
