The Pavilions

Nestled within rolling hills and surrounded by magnificent mature trees, the Pavilions celebrate a harmonious connection with nature. This project is conceived to restore the land to its natural state, creating a vibrant landscape that embraces the changing seasons and provides an immersive experience with the outdoors. Designed to connect people with nature, adventure, wellness, and play, these pavilions honor the nostalgic ties to the land while fostering new family traditions.

The architecture creates a sense of privacy and retreat, offering a serene environment that encourages relaxation and reflection. Embracing simplicity and ease, the design features a series of carefully crafted volumes that respond gracefully to the natural topography. These volumes are united by a galleria, serving as the central spine of the residence. This galleria seamlessly guides visitors through the space, culminating at the main living space and expansive views of the family farm.

The pavilions are thoughtfully organized to offer varying degrees of intimacy, achieved with varying ceiling heights that create distinct spatial experiences. The galleria itself becomes a journey of light and discovery, with carefully positioned windows offering glimpses of the surrounding landscape. Light pours in from the East and West, creating a dynamic interplay of shadows and highlights throughout the day. Along this path, moments are created for the curation of art and to frame the breathtaking natural scenery, inviting residents and visitors alike to pause and appreciate the beauty of their surroundings.
