With more than 75 AIA design awards received over the last two decades including recognition by the American Institute of Architects Colorado Chapter as the organization’s ‘2009 Firm of the Year’ , as well as Honor awards at the Regional, State and local AIA programs - Studio B’s influence and growing portfolio of modernist work continues to draw attention far beyond the Rocky Mountain West.
Studio B Principals and life partners Scott and Susan Okie Lindenau open the doors to their Aspen home, a modernist 1960s residence that they lovingly and intentionally renovated together.

This Residence was designed as a primary residence for a family on a stunning rural site with 360-degree mountain views overlooking the Arkansas River, just outside of the art-centered, mountain town of Salida, Colorado.
Affectionately known as ‘The Perch,’ this remarkable residence is the private home of Scott and Susan Lindenau, the visionary founders of Studio B Architecture + Interiors. Originally constructed in 1968, this unassuming mid-century house has been transformed into a true masterpiece, nestled within the serene aspen forest on a sloping hillside, where it embraces the ever-changing beauty of the high-alpine surroundings.
What makes modern Danish design endure is a threefold focus on simple, long-lasting materials, ecological sustainability, and the human condition.
