Andrew Hubbard

Drew’s passion for architecture began long before he entered a design studio. Growing up in Chicago, he spent countless hours helping restore his family’s Late Victorian home and experimenting in the workshop of his father’s furniture company. Those early experiences fostered an appreciation for craftsmanship, problem-solving, and the process of making, principles that continue to shape his approach to architecture today.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Miami University, where he explored the relationship between contemporary design and vernacular architecture. His education included immersive Design-Build programs in Ghana, West Africa, and the Za’atari Refugee Camp in Jordan, experiences that reinforced the importance of regional building traditions, thoughtful material use, and architecture’s ability to positively influence communities.

Drew later attended the University of Colorado’s College of Architecture and Planning, contributing to the Colorado Building Workshop’s award-winning Cottonwood Gulch Cabins project, recognized with an AIA Western Mountain Region Honor Award. His early professional work also includes projects recognized by Interior Design Magazine’s MAD Awards.

Since joining Studio B in 2021, Drew has grown from Designer to Project Manager, helping lead custom residential projects from early design through construction. He works closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and the Studio B team to ensure each project balances design intent with technical precision. His thoughtful, collaborative approach and commitment to craftsmanship contribute to homes that are deeply connected to their site and the people who live in them.

Outside the studio, Drew enjoys designing and fabricating furniture, restoring and modifying his 4x4 project truck, and exploring Colorado’s backcountry. Whether snowboarding, backpacking, or traveling rugged mountain roads, he continually draws inspiration from the landscapes that influence both his life and his work.
