11 Years of Del: The Strength Behind Studio B

Every studio has someone working behind the scenes to keep everything moving. At Studio B, that person is Del Goolsby.

This year marks 11 years with Studio B for Del, our Office Manager and the person behind more of the studio’s day-to-day operations than most people probably realize. He answers the phones, keeps calendars organized, manages accounts and invoices, handles countless HR responsibilities, maintains the offices, and generally knows how to solve the things the rest of us don’t.

But keeping architects organized isn’t Del’s first experience with high-pressure situations.

Long before Studio B, Del was an All-State quarterback at Basalt High School. He later traded football pads for considerably less clothing, becoming a competitive bodybuilder and winning the Western Colorado Bodybuilding Championship.

We have the photos to prove it. And the muscles were serious.

These days, Del’s strength looks a little different. It’s the patience to answer another phone call, find the thing no one else can find, keep two studios running, and quietly make sure the business behind the architecture works.
