MapOlivia was born and raised in western Colorado where she explored the great outdoors with her family and German Shorthair Pointer. At a very young age, she used scratch paper to design houses and built floor plans with Jenga blocks. In elementary school ambitiously journaled that she would be an architect and designer someday.
Without wavering, Olivia attended the University of Colorado where her interdisciplinary education provided her the opportunity to study architecture, product design, landscape architecture, and urban design. She has a diverse internship experience, expanding her knowledge in commercial construction, residential design-build, and in interior design for a staging company.
She worked on an addition of a hospital cardiac wing and the design of an award-winning Parade of Home, providing her with valuable perspectives and fostering her cross-pollinated design ideas and creative judgment to incorporate aesthetics and construction throughout design stages.
She loves to travel and has explored the architecture and culture in Australia, Singapore, the Caribbean, and many countries in Europe, fueling her love of design and the connection of history, culture, and materials.
Tapping into other creative outlets, her hobbies include repurposing clothing, graphic design. and staying true to her Coloradan roots; paddle boarding, snowboarding, and trying her skill at the game of golf.
