Kyle’s journey into architecture began with a love for art and design, first expressed through graphite and charcoal drawings. Transitioning from graphic design to environmental design at the University of Colorado, he quickly became known for blending artistic sensibility with architectural innovation. During his studies, he served as vice president of the local AIAS chapter, leading impactful social media campaigns and fostering partnerships with local design events, laying an early foundation for his collaborative spirit and commitment to community engagement.

A semester in Copenhagen deepened his understanding of Scandinavian design, where Danish philosophies of simplicity, functionality, and harmony with nature resonated with his vision for architecture. Kyle’s temporary move to New York City broadened his perspective even further, as he studied diverse urban forms and experimented with new design approaches through conceptual work for the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA), focusing on creativity’s role in community enrichment.

Kyle’s career with Studio B began as an intern, where his dedication and skill quickly led to a full-time role. Over the years, he’s helped mold the designs of dozens of projects, bringing a nuanced attention to detail and a refined sense of form. His journey from intern to partner reflects a steadfast commitment to the studio’s ethos of thoughtful, modern design. Known for seamlessly merging artistry with architectural practice, Kyle now spearheads projects that emphasize both environmental responsiveness and design innovation, shaping a legacy that blends timeless elegance with forward-thinking principles.

Future Vision: As a partner, Kyle continues to refine the process of delivering distilled works of modern architecture in ways that respect and enhance the natural landscape.
