Conor Burrows

Designer

Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture

University of Colorado, Boulder

Born and raised in Aspen, Colorado, Conor’s journey into architecture is deeply intertwined with his lifelong love of the mountains. Introduced to skiing at just 18 months old, he developed a deep connection to the Elk Mountain Range—an endless source of inspiration that fuels both his adventurous spirit and his architectural vision. Whether carving lines through untouched powder or sketching the framework of a new project, Conor thrives at the intersection of motion and design.

His fascination with architecture emerged early, from constructing intricate LEGO creations to a transformative sixth-grade internship that cemented his dream of designing spaces that harmonize with nature. Before pursuing his architectural studies at the University of Colorado, he gained hands-on experience in high-end residential design while working in property management, sharpening his eye for detail and craftsmanship.

After earning his degree, Conor embarked on a year-long teaching program in Northeastern Thailand, immersing himself in the region’s culture and architecture. Living in Southeast Asia expanded his design perspective, teaching him how built environments respond to climate, culture, and sustainability. The innovative use of passive cooling, locally sourced materials, and space efficiency left a lasting impression, shaping his philosophy of creating architecture that transcends borders while staying deeply rooted in place.

When he’s not designing, you’ll find him skiing, hiking 14ers, or road biking—constantly seeking movement, challenge, and new perspectives. Whether on the slopes or at the drawing board, Conor is always in motion—exploring, designing, and redefining the relationship between adventure and architecture.
