Will Young

Will’s design ethos is shaped by the many places he has lived, and the value he sees in the constraints that each site, project, and brief bring. He describes himself as an outgoing, observant person with a passion for compelling, competent design. He seeks to create harmony within his designs that satisfy: client demands, modern technology, economy, and ecology.

Will was drawn to architecture upon first walking into the Environmental Design building in Boulder. Once enrolled, he not only excelled in the studio but beyond the classroom in multiple design-centric campus organizations.  For instance, his group’s design was selected by the University’s U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon 2020 Build Competition team to be constructed for the International competition.

Upon completion of his degree, Will cut his teeth in the architecture world at a boutique, residential, design firm in Santa Barbara, California.  Much like the landscapes of Colorado, the Central Coast of California is an ideal place to cultivate a connection between landscape and modern architecture.
